Dell 27 Plus 4K Monitor (S2725QS) – Cataracts and Eyeglasses

I recently purchased the Dell S2725QS 27-inch 4K Monitor for $279.99 + $19.60 tax, totaling $299.59. After years of using 20-22 inch monitors, I was concerned a 27-inch display might feel too large. However, its dimensions—24.08 in. wide (611.54 mm) and 14.02 in. tall (355.98 mm)—only add a few inches in width and height, fitting comfortably on my desk. Mounted on a swivel arm, it sits farther back than my previous monitors, freeing up valuable desk space. Plus, it came with free, fast shipping—ordered on May 18 and delivered by May 21!🙂👍

Cataracts and Eyeglasses

Underwent cataract surgery on both eyes—right eye in February and left in March. Adjusting to the improved vision took time, as colors, especially whites, became strikingly vivid. As a hermit, finding transportation and someone to wait in the lobby during each procedure was challenging. After three years of searching, I secured help, paying $240 per surgery for a driver to meet me in Gainesville, FL, and then take me to a clinic across the street and wait.

To celebrate completing my cataract surgery, I searched for high-quality eyeglass frames, moving beyond the $9-12 Walmart frames I’d used for 13 years. After receiving my new prescription in April, I chose four pairs—two from Warby Parker and two from Walmart—to suit my improved vision.

Trump Tally – April 29, 2025: First 100 Days

It’s hard to trust anything from legacy or new media these days. As a frequent reader of Conservative news and blog sites, I skim and/or read the comment sections of only three to five of them. Truth seems irrelevant there—protecting President Trump is the sole priority.

A quick glance at legacy, Progressive, and other Democrat-leaning news and blog sites reveals why ‘Right-Peas’ feel compelled to shield Trump, even at the expense of truth. The Left’s obsession with demonizing him fuels this defensive reflex.

Both Republicans’ TCS (Trump Cultist Syndrome) and Democrats’ TDS (Trump Derangement Syndrome) are equally nauseating to those of us outside the GOP and Dem echo chambers.

That said, President Trump and his administration have delivered an impressive performance over the last 100 days!

The Trump Tally – 4/6/2025: The Triumphant Trio of Tariffs, Immigration, and Judicial Overreach post remains a key indicator of Trump’s early second-term priorities. These complex issues will take time to resolve, for better or worse, so no new additions fall under the “Strong” category in today’s Tally update.

Thinking about future Tally updates: Will store shelves be empty? Will the price of my new glasses increase after this week?

CRINK—the growing axis of authoritarian states (China, Russia, Iran, North Korea)—poses a serious challenge. Trump was soft on Russia and Iran during his first term, and this weakness has persisted into his first 100 days this time.

Trump is finally waking up to the fact that Putin has been playing him during negotiations. Worse, he’s foolishly blamed Ukraine for starting a war that was already raging during his first term, while repeatedly condemning, threatening, ridiculing, and insulting President Zelenskyy.

Iran remains a sticking point. Trump touts peace, but words are cheap, and I’m skeptical. The growing influence of CRINK, Putin’s ‘tapping’ Trump along, and stalled Iran peace efforts land this issue at #8 in the “Weak” category of this Tally update.

Trump Tally – 4/6/2025: The Triumphant Trio of Tariffs, Immigration, and Judicial Overreach

I’m genuinely impressed with the relentless pace of Trump and his administration over the past week—so much so that it’s time for an update to the Trump Tally.

This week, Trump tackled a formidable trio: Tariffs, Immigration, and Judicial Overreach. Tariffs have undeniably stolen the spotlight, stirring up headlines and heated debates, but Immigration and Judicial Overreach have fueled their own share of chaos, sparking confusion and igniting protests. The “Hands Off!” movement, in particular, has dominated mainstream media coverage, and I see it as a clear sign of just how effectively Trump and his team are shaking things up. Their boldness deserves recognition—hence this latest tally.

This week, Tariffs claim the #9 spot in Trump’s “Strong” category—a testament to their bold impact. Meanwhile, Immigration and Judicial Overreach join forces, landing together at #10 under the same “Strong” banner, showcasing a powerhouse duo that’s impossible to ignore.

Trump Tally – 3/30/2025: First 70 Days

Other than the moment Trump started sucking up to Putin—and then started blaming Ukraine for Russia’s reinvading of it he has done a good job. When was the last time an American President sided with Russia against a freedom seeking country?! Anyway, hopefully he finally understands that Putin has been playing him, and that Ukraine did not cause this war.

Started the Trump Tally in the comment section of another blog, but since being banned from there I will restart it here.

Am looking at two article for this update: 1) How a New Axis Called CRINK Is Working Against America, and 2) Trump lashes out at Putin in emotional two-word rebuke as Ukraine peace talks collapse.
