ASUS Prime Z790M-PLUS D4 mATX MoBo: Restore an Image and/or do a Clean Install

The Intel® Rapid Storage Technology (Intel® RST) driver holds the controllers (?) and storage drivers I needed to do a Backup and Restore (Windows 7) of a Win11 Pro saved image, and/or to do a clean installation of Win11 Pro – on an ASUS Prime Z790M-PLUS D4 MoBo.

I am no expert at motherboards, but I sometimes do more ‘Tinkering’ with my main computer (‘Apevia’) than I should—hence the reason for using the Backup and Restore (Windows 7) utility that comes with Windows 11 before actual ‘Tinkering’ starts.

Long story, but I don’t really want to go thru the ‘Nightmare’, in great detail, again. Doubtful that I could remember all the details anyway, since a lot of the experience involved luck, searching, banging away, more searching, more banging away mixed in with deep thought & pondering, experimenting & testing, and a stroke of good luck in the home stretch. 👍😳👌🙂

Jetpack Stats & Independent Analytics

I’ve been blogging since before Google bought Blogger, but am not even close to knowing all the ‘inside’ workings involved in a ‘web content management system’. 🤔

Right now, I’m starting the second year of a 4-year Hostinger WordPress plan – intro price was onetime price of $107.56, and the 4-year renewal price will be a onetime price of $335.52 (works out to about $83.88 a year). New subscriptions may be a tad higher. There is also a 1-year Domain renewal cost of $16.17 each year.

Not a big follower of my blog’s stats, but do check out some of them daily. Also, am not even close to being an expert on what stats are important to other basic bloggers like me. Most of my previous blogs just showed some kind of a chart, with maybe a dropdown type of menu, and as I recall it was usually provided by Jetpack.

Never purchased any kind of a Stat app or Analytical app until a couple of weeks ago. I had been using the free Independent Analytics plugin for about a year, and liked it so well that I purchased the Independent Analytics Pro Lifetime version.

Jetpack Stats and Independent Analytics both have advantages, but over the year of using the free Independent Analytics plugin I found their stats to be more concise & accurate.

The world’s BEST police chase video!‘ – Of the 3 who was best rider? 🙂

All 3 were better riders than I ever was. That female rider literally came up off that bike whilst hanging onto the driver, and did it w/o interrupting his driving.

From the Daily Mail article: The world’s BEST police chase video! Nail-biting motorbike pursuit through city’s narrow streets leaves viewers stunned… right up to its dramatic end:

Abrahamic Religions

This WP Page was started on ‘Aug 13, 2008 at 8:59 PMat my old ‘THE SWAMP HERMIT’S REPORT’ blog – which was moved from Blogger to WordPress in May of 2004. The blog is still Public, but is only updated occasionally. Here is the link to Original page: Abrahamic Religions

Most of the links are working, but some are broken or gone, and I will not try to fix most of them—which would require a lot of work, even if there were new links available. The reader can search for newer info on the subject of those links. For Example: the video “Maps of War – History of Religion” link doesn’t work anymore because ‘Vodpod videos no longer available’, but there are other similar videos available—just not as good as the original one, IMHO.

I wrote the original using HTML (94 pages before this editing), over a span of time that may have actually started before 8/13/2008, and it got a little messy with new edits being added—and ‘Such’. Tried just a copy & paste of that page to the post here—into the Visual of my Classic Editor, but that didn’t come out right. Then used the original HTML Word.docx – which worked out OK. The original Abrahamic Religions page may be easier to follow. 🤔

I will do some tweaking before publishing here—just not sure how much, so for now, it will be a ‘Work in Progress’. I made notes during some of the tweaking and reediting – they were made in Green. Most of the link issues were from Wikipedia, i.e., the articles had changed so much from my original quotes that I just used Italics to show that I quoted it at one time.

VELOCIFIRE Wireless Mechanical Keyboard – TKL71WS with Ice Blue Backlit

The VELOCIFIRE Wireless Mechanical Keyboard TKL71WS 71-Key Tenkeyless Brown Switches Compact Gaming Keyboard with Ice Blue Backlit for Copywriters, Typists, and Programmers is the best keyboard I’ve ever owned, and just purchased a second one for only $25.99.

Couple years ago, I had grown tired of the big old Full-size Wireless Microsoft or Logitech no backlit squishy keyboards that I had been using for decades, and decided to test some new ones. Had never had a backlit keyboard, and was having to grab a light too often to see where a key was, even when a small desk lamp was on.

WOW!!! Can’t believe it took me that long to get a backlit keyboard!? Am no gamer, so was wanting to avoid one with flashing lights. Desktop space was also important—especially the Prime Desktop Real-estate area under and in front of the display (I use gas spring arms for displays).

So many choices!?! Ended up buying four to test. Liked the VELOCIFIRE Wireless Mechanical Keyboard, TKL02WS 87 Key w/ white light the best for over a year, but the nice soft blue light from the TKL71WS kept calling me – it looked so small though, and where were all the keys!?!

Then again, the TKL71WS was not only incredibly lightweight compared to the ship anchor weight of the TKL02WS, but its footprint didn’t require much Prime Real-estate area.
