News Media – TOP 5 Most Influential in 2024

Some have complained about the Republicans and/or Conservatives not having much ‘Media Sway’.

Anyone paying attention should know by now that that is no longer the case. Old Media—Legacy Media finally upped and died in 2024.

In the past, Old Media—Legacy Media had bragged about being able to help the Democratic party gain about ‘15%’ more votes. I don’t know how they had arrived at that number, but seems that it was always about ‘15%’. For awhile, it was looking like they could carry Kamala Harris across the finish line in first place—as America’s First Woman President.

I first noticed a ‘Trump Surge’ after Elon Musk joined Trump in his return to Butler, Pennsylvania—a second rally at the site of first assassination attempt. Then another ‘Trump Surge’ after the 3-hour interview with Joe Rogan.

Let’s see what Lean Left’ Mediaite has to say about about the “Most Influential in News Media 2024”:

Mediaite’s article covers the 75 “Most Influential in News Media 2024” – but seeing the ‘Trump Surge/s’ after Elon Musk’s coming out in support, and then the interview with Joe Rogan, I found the Mediaite’s TOP 5 most interesting:

5. Sean Hannity (ME: No surprise there)

4. Charlamagne tha God (ME: surprise there, and have never watched him, but saw lots of news about him during the election cycle)

3. Suzanne Scott (ME: barely know anything about her; however, she has obviously been doing an excellent job for Fox)

2. Joe Rogan (ME: another one who I’ve never watched, but also saw lots of news about him)

OK—Elon Musk has been a favorite of mine since he stole Twitter from the Democrats, Liberals, Progressives, MSM, etc. I have a yearly subscription with X – my show of support for a $500-Billion man. 😉 Mediaite does an excellent job in their write-up on him, and I wanted a quote section of snippets from it:

1. Elon Musk (ME: surprised that Mediaite placed him in the #1 spot, but admire them for doing so. Clearly the strongest Influencer in Social Media – and in News Media 2024. Just the beginning, IMHO)

• Even before his purchase of Twitter, Elon Musk had a knack for not just getting his name in headlines, but for driving the news cycles. Since re-making the platform in his own image and allying himself with Trump, he’s been driving with a bulldozer.

• X, The Platform Formerly Known as Twitter, might have lost millions of users and advertisers’ dollars under Musk’s stewardship, but its impact isn’t measured by numbers alone.

• ..his reported demands that the algorithm be tweaked to amplify Musk’s own tweets have all combined to shift X into a fermentation still for MAGA moonshine .. The result is a media ecosystem where pro-Trump opinion is a far more mainstream part of the national consciousness than it ever was.

It’s Musk’s decision to ally himself with Trump that really cements his position at the summit of this list. Despite vowing to stay neutral in the election and refusing to donate to “either candidate” earlier this year, Musk declared his support for Trump shortly after the assassination attempt in Butler.

That endorsement, arguably more than anything, can be credited with swaying a close election.

• Musk has declared with increasing frequency that the mainstream media is dead and his platform X is the media now.

Conclusion

At #6 were Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski—who ‘Bent the Knee‘ to Trump. At #10 was Megyn Kelly, who I thought came on strong early during 2024. At #16 was Ben Shapiro—haven’t followed him, but name kept coming up in news cycle. At #26 was Stephen A. Smith—from sports he still kept showing up during the election cycle. At #27 was Tucker Carlson—lost me early in 2024 when he came out against Ukraine.

Old Media—Legacy Media may not be totally dead, just yet, and some are attempting to fix what has become wrong with them. Hopefully the Republicans and/or Conservatives and/or Trump don’t let them get another foothold in 2025 – by screwing around whilst not doing the job expected by voters who helped them win in 2024.

Meanwhile – Conservative news looks set for an even stronger news cycle in 2025…
