Have mainly just upgraded all my computers to Windows 11 Pro from Windows 10 Pro, since it was so easy ‘n reliable to do, but have also done some tests on doing a clean install of Windows 11. Spotted the “This PC” problem right away when doing the clean installs.
The upgrade method allows the “This PC” icon to stay and/or be added to the Taskbar, but the clean install method doesn’t offer the “Pin to taskbar” option. Can pin “This PC” to the Desktop and/or to the Start menu, but not to the Taskbar where I use it a lot…a *LOT*!!!
They offer three versions of Nobara: Official, GNOME, and KDE. I tested the the Nobara-36-KDE-2022-09-16.iso (at 4.83GBs) and the Nobara-36-Official-2022-09-16.iso (at 4.82GBs).
Nobara is loaded wid gaming ‘n streaming ‘n “content creation” ‘Stuff‘ plus all kinds of 3rd party drivers. The “Official” version is GNOME wid “pre-enabled” extensions that give it a Windows and/or Cinnamon look.
Not positive yet, but it’s ‘Feeling‘ like I am slowly moving away from both WordPress.com & the Linux Newbie – since 1996 blog!? Just purchased a Hostinger Self-Hosted plan on 10/27/2022 (for testing), and then purchased a 4-year Hostinger Self-Hosted plan & started the Karmi’s Musings & Tech blog on 11/2/2022. See Web Hosting Info ‘n Ideas page for more info. It has been a fast ride to this point!
Many suggest that Karma is ‘what goes around comes around‘ as if it is locally focused. However, even though a human is physically local here on Earth, that human is dealing wid more than just ‘Local‘ Karma, i.e., the human also becomes both a ‘Transmitter’ to the Universe & a ‘Receiver’ from it when Karma is involved. A human may only be sending out signals locally & Universally, but those returning signals from the Universe can be far from any human’s imagination. Certainly more than just ‘what goes around comes around‘.
