Rule of law became America’s favorite weapon for creating instant criminals out of entire ethnic groups – Chinese with opium, Mexicans with marijuana, Catholics with alcohol, and Black Americans with heroin. While lawfare dates back to ancient times, America’s drug-based version has been the playbook for 150 years.

America perfected the art of weaponizing law enforcement long before anyone coined the term “lawfare.” The pattern is brutally simple: identify a group you want to control, associate them with a substance, criminalize that substance, then use selective enforcement to destroy their communities. It’s not conspiracy theory when Nixon’s own advisor admitted it in a 1994 interview.

California is burning again—and it didn’t take long! Just over five months ago, wildfires raged, and Governor Newsom struggled to manage the crisis. Mayor Bass faced similar challenges with the LA wildfires. The Democratic Party’s leadership is on full display with each disaster.

The Los Angeles Protests of 2025: A City in Turmoil

In June 2025, Los Angeles erupted in protests after an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) raid to service criminal warrants based on a large criminal conspiracy ICE is/was investigating. The investigation related to:

• Money laundering.
• Tax evasion.
• Customs fraud.
• A company that under-declared over $80 million in goods and failed to pay $17 million in fees.
• A larger conspiracy involving numerous businesses potentially laundering money in Mexico and Colombia.

What Has Happened

On June 6, protests began peacefully but turned violent, with clashes near the Federal Building and 101 Freeway. Protesters burned Waymo cars, looted businesses, and threw rocks, while LAPD used tear gas and rubber bullets. Over 100 arrests occurred, including union leader David Huerta. President Trump federalized the California National Guard, deploying 2,000 troops, followed by 2,000 more and 700 Marines by June 9, costing $134 million. Governor Newsom and Mayor Bass condemned the move, with Newsom suing the Trump administration for violating state sovereignty.

What Is Happening Now

As of June 10, protests continue but are less violent, with a peaceful City Hall rally. Sporadic looting persists, and 4,000 Guard troops and 700 Marines remain deployed. Newsom added 800 local officers, insisting they suffice. California’s lawsuit challenges the federal troop deployment, while immigrant communities face ongoing tension and businesses suffer losses.

Trump Tally – April 29, 2025: First 100 Days

It’s hard to trust anything from legacy or new media these days. As a frequent reader of Conservative news and blog sites, I skim and/or read the comment sections of only three to five of them. Truth seems irrelevant there—protecting President Trump is the sole priority.

A quick glance at legacy, Progressive, and other Democrat-leaning news and blog sites reveals why ‘Right-Peas’ feel compelled to shield Trump, even at the expense of truth. The Left’s obsession with demonizing him fuels this defensive reflex.

Both Republicans’ TCS (Trump Cultist Syndrome) and Democrats’ TDS (Trump Derangement Syndrome) are equally nauseating to those of us outside the GOP and Dem echo chambers.

That said, President Trump and his administration have delivered an impressive performance over the last 100 days!

The Trump Tally – 4/6/2025: The Triumphant Trio of Tariffs, Immigration, and Judicial Overreach post remains a key indicator of Trump’s early second-term priorities. These complex issues will take time to resolve, for better or worse, so no new additions fall under the “Strong” category in today’s Tally update.

CRINK—the growing axis of authoritarian states (China, Russia, Iran, North Korea)—poses a serious challenge. Trump was soft on Russia and Iran during his first term, and this weakness has persisted into his first 100 days this time.

Trump is finally waking up to the fact that Putin has been playing him during negotiations. Worse, he’s foolishly blamed Ukraine for starting a war that was already raging during his first term, while repeatedly condemning, threatening, ridiculing, and insulting President Zelenskyy.

Iran remains a sticking point. Trump touts peace, but words are cheap, and I’m skeptical. The growing influence of CRINK, Putin’s ‘tapping’ Trump along, and stalled Iran peace efforts land this issue at #8 in the “Weak” category of this Tally update.
