I’ve been trying to write this post for years—kept thinking it would be a really really long one, which might have been the reason I never started it or even came up with a title until today. 🤔😉
Here’s how I ‘Stumbled‘ across it
Turns out ‘Short & Simple’ seems to always work for me. Of course, I spent decades partaking of all the delightful ‘Sweet & Sour’ fruits first.
When I ‘got close’ things seemed to move faster tho, which was helpful. ‘Close’ wasn’t close enough tho, so I left the ‘Forrest of Selves’ and went to the ‘Top of a Mountain’ alone.
When alone, this sorta fell into my lap:
‘Like two golden birds perched on the selfsame tree,
intimate friends, the ego and the Self dwell in the same body.
The former eats the sweet and sour fruits of the tree of life,
while the latter looks on in detachment’. The Mundaka Upanishad
Never returned to the ‘Forrest of Selves’…
