America has ‘n is sending so many shiploads of LNG that there are now ships just waiting to offload the LNG, but most of Europe’s storage tanks are already full, and they also don’t have enough regasification terminals to convert the LGN back into gas form.

The map shows LNG terminals in the EU member states that are currently operational, due for further expansion, under construction or at the planning stage.

Spain, France, Italy, Portugal, Belgium, the Netherlands, Croatia, Poland, Greece and Lithuania all have operational LNG terminals.

There are over a dozen planned LNG terminals across the EU and a few are currently under construction.
