I never realized that keyboards came in sooooooooooooo<\/u><\/em> many versions \u2018n styles!? How many people actually use the number pad on a keyboard? I don\u2019t ever recall using it on any of my keyboards, but there it was, always occupying 3.25+ inches of Prime Desktop Real-estate!?! For the past few years, I have had 2-3 of them on my Desktop, which adds up to about 6.5-9.75++ inches of Prime Desktop Real-estate being used for number pads that I\u2019ve never used.<\/p>\n

Also, for the past few years, I\u2019ve had problems getting the right amount of light for typing, and then getting the right amount of light when not typing. Always seems too much, or too little, or too much glare off the keyboard. The letters, symbols, & numbers on my most used keys always seem to \u2018Disappear<\/em>\u2019 somehow, and I have fixed them wid stick-on replacements that seemed to reflect all kinds of light \u2018n glare<\/em>.<\/p>\n

So, after not noticing keyboard problems for about 26 year, I gradually started noticing problems a few year ago!?!<\/p>\n

\"\"On 7\/24\/2021<\/em><\/strong><\/a> I ordered my first keyboard w\/o a number pad \u2018n was \u201cBacklit\u201d \u2013 VELOCIFIRE TKL02WS<\/strong><\/a> 87 Key Wireless. Has become my main keyboard\u2026Backlit\u2026wireless and\/or<\/u><\/em> wired\u2026\u2019Clickity<\/em>\u2019 Mechanical Keyboard that I quickly got use to the \u2018Clickity<\/em>\u2019 sound. Love this keyboard! Footprint is about 14.25\u201d x 5.25\u201d vs old Logitech\u2019s 17.375\u201d x 5.75\u201d.<\/p>\n

On 8\/03\/2021<\/em><\/strong><\/a> ordered a Perixx PERIBOARD-429 US Wired Mini Backlit Keyboard<\/a><\/strong> \u2013 Thin and Silent Scissor Keys. No need for a primary keyboard, and its location was OK for a wired one. Two computers, up against the wall, and one stacked on top of the other so they easily share keyboard \u2018n mouse that are plugged into a Sabrent Mini 4-Port USB<\/a> rotating hub. 11.10\u2033 x 5.32\u2033 footprint, and an excellent keyboard for my testing \u2018n such (\u2018CM130<\/em><\/a>\u2018 & \u2018Antec Jr.<\/em><\/a>\u2018). Love this keyboard!<\/p>\n

On 8\/07\/2021<\/em><\/strong><\/a> ordered a Arteck HB220B Universal Backlit<\/strong><\/a> 7-Colors & Adjustable Brightness Multi-Device Slim Portable Wireless Bluetooth. Super thin wid no legs \u2018n a 10.67\u201d x 5.91\u201d footprint. Had to buy a dongle for it because my PC\u2019s don\u2019t have Bluetooth (my laptops have Bluetooth<\/em>). Bluetooth is new to me \u2018n it has \u2018Suked<\/em>\u2019 so far. Keyboards should be \u2018Plug & Play<\/em>\u2019 simple \u2013 this one almost got tossed into trash, after I found it won\u2019t boot into BIOS or the Boot Menu (or I haven\u2019t found how!?<\/em>). It\u2019s sorta nice tho, and just a tertiary keyboard that needs to stay outta the way until I need it, which it does<\/u><\/em>. Windows \u2018n Linux recognize it, and the computer\/s I use it on don\u2019t really need to boot BIOS or Boot Menu (will temporarily plug the Perixx PERIBOARD-429<\/a> in when needed<\/em>). How do I feel about it? It\u2019s probably the Red-headed stepchild<\/em><\/strong><\/a> of keyboards\u2026which is why I have set Backlight to light blue \u2018n not red.\u00a0 \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n
