No one knows how many Linux OSes there are, but the &#8220;600&#8221; guesstimate is the most often used, even tho you&#8217;ll see new Linux OSes show up all the time. What ever the actual number is, Fedora leads them all when it comes to a Total Package of supporting cast, dependability, stability, cutting-edge kernel, ease of use, and great Package Managers.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Fedora Linux is the &#8216;<i>Leader of the Pack<\/i>&#8216;:<\/p>\n<p><iframe title=\"Twisted Sister - Leader of the Pack (Official Music Video)\" width=\"1200\" height=\"900\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/h1_x-f4vJz0?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>That&#8217;s the Twisted Sister&#8217;s covered version of the old &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Leader_of_the_Pack\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Leader of the Pack<\/a>&#8221; settings. User here, if you don&#8217;t mind the annoying <a href=\"https:\/\/linuxnewbiesince1996.com\/distros-w-no-pesky-passwords\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><i>&#8220;Authenticate&#8221; popups<\/i><\/a> &#8216;n other Linux &#8216;<a href=\"https:\/\/linuxnewbiesince1996.com\/2020\/07\/19\/pesky-passwords-sudo-su-system-administrator-superuser-supervisor-root-substitute-user-principle-of-least-privilege-polp-etcetera-n-etcetera-n-etcetera\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><i>Pesky Passwords<\/i><\/a>&#8216; demands, but I am a <a href=\"https:\/\/linuxnewbiesince1996.com\/2020\/10\/21\/how-to-become-a-fulltime-linux-root-user\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><i>Fulltime Root User<\/i><\/a> on all of my own computers, or I won&#8217;t use that OS.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-678 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/karmismusingstech.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/sudo-n-sandwich.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"360\" height=\"299\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Click Begin Installation, and the rest of the installation is basically automatic, <i>until it finishes<\/i>, and then says you can reboot.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Post_Installation\"><\/span>Post Installation<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p>During bootup you&#8217;ll end up at the login screen window. If you created a standard &#8216;<i>Password Dependent<\/i>&#8216; User, then the window will probably have that username already entered, and just wants your password.<\/p>\n<p>If you&#8217;re the root user without the standard user, then you get something like this:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-671 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/karmismusingstech.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/root-login-500x330.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"330\" srcset=\"https:\/\/karmismusingstech.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/root-login-500x330.jpg 500w, https:\/\/karmismusingstech.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/root-login.jpg 582w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Just enter root &#8216;n click Next, which takes you to another window wanting the root password. Then you&#8217;re at the desktop, and should do a full system update at this point.<\/p>\n<p>Afterwards, I added Nvidia drivers for my GPU:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>11\/30\/2022 <strong>UPDATE<\/strong>: I used the <a href=\"https:\/\/linuxconfig.org\/how-to-install-the-nvidia-drivers-on-fedora-32\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Install Nvidia Driver using RPMFusion<\/strong><\/a> method to install the Nvidia driver.
