Thank you.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>An ice age is a long period of <b>reduction in the temperature of Earth&#8217;s surface and atmosphere<\/b>, resulting in the presence or expansion of continental and polar ice sheets and alpine glaciers.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>If \u201creduction in the temperature of Earth&#8217;s surface and atmosphere\u201d creates an Ice Age \u2013 then what melts an Ice Age and\/or makes that Ice Age go away?<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Earth&#8217;s climate alternates between ice ages, and <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Greenhouse_and_icehouse_Earth#Greenhouse_Earth\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><b>greenhouse periods<\/b><\/a> during which there are no glaciers on the planet.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The oldest known Ice Age was the Huronian, which occurred between 2.4 and 2.1 billion years ago. How many scientists here believe that humans caused the <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Huronian_glaciation\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Huronian glaciation<\/a> to end? Over half of you. OK, over half of you got that one wrong.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The oldest known evidence of hominins\u2014<b>our early human-like ancestors<\/b>\u2014dates back to around 6-7 million years ago.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: sans-serif;\">Humans weren\u2019t around to melt the Huronian Ice Age, or any of the dozens that followed. Why? So they could pin every shift in the weather on humans\u2014even changes from billions of years before we existed. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/energyeducation.ca\/encyclopedia\/Natural_vs_anthropogenic_climate_change\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><b>Natural vs anthropogenic climate change<\/b><\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Climate change is any change occurring to the planet&#8217;s climate either permanently or lasting for long periods of time. It is the cumulative total of two related sources: anthropogenic climate change and natural climate change. <b>Anthropogenic climate change is defined by the human impact on Earth&#8217;s climate<\/b> while natural climate change are the natural climate cycles that have been and continue to occur throughout Earth&#8217;s history.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: sans-serif;\">The hoaxers want you to believe humans outweigh nature itself\u2014that Earth, a planet that\u2019s weathered asteroids and ice ages, is somehow fragile without our meddling. They\u2019re betting on your ego. Truth is, Earth could shrug us off with a single volcanic yawn. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"2025_United_Nations_Climate_Change_Conference_COP30\"><\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/2025_United_Nations_Climate_Change_Conference\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2025 United Nations Climate Change Conference<\/a> (COP30)<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: sans-serif;\">Here\u2019s where the hypocrisy peaks: <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/news\/articles\/c9vy191rgn1o\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><b>Amazon forest felled to build road for climate summit<\/b><\/a><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The state government of Par\u00e1 had touted the idea of this highway, known as Avenida Liberdade, as early as 2012, but it had repeatedly been shelved because of environmental concerns.<\/p>\n<p>Now a host of infrastructure projects have been resurrected or approved to prepare the city for the COP summit.<\/p>\n<p>Adler Silveira, the state government&#8217;s infrastructure secretary, listed this highway as one of 30 projects happening in the city to &#8220;prepare&#8221; and &#8220;modernise&#8221; it, so &#8220;we can have a legacy for the population and, more importantly, serve people for COP30 in the best possible way&#8221;.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-5751 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/karmismusingstech.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/Avenida-Liberdade-500x383.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"383\" srcset=\"https:\/\/karmismusingstech.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/Avenida-Liberdade-500x383.jpg 500w, https:\/\/karmismusingstech.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/Avenida-Liberdade.jpg 700w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/article-14489871\/Eight-mile-stretch-Amazon-forest-felled-build-four-lane-highway-COP30-climate-summit.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><b>Eight-mile stretch of Amazon forest is felled&#8230; to build four-lane highway for COP30 climate summit<\/b><\/a><\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Conclusion\"><\/span>Conclusion<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: sans-serif;\">COP30 needs a highway through the Amazon to host a climate summit\u2014<strong>because nothing says \u201csaving the planet\u201d like bulldozing its lungs<\/strong>. These folks know human impact is a drop in the bucket compared to nature\u2019s power, yet they cling to their narrative. Add hypocritical to egotistical on their r\u00e9sum\u00e9. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: sans-serif;\">The Earth\u2019s been spinning through climate shifts for 4.5 billion years.
