This is Part 3 and looks to be the last part unless I go with a Media server at a later date. I might be doing something wrong because the intro page that lists what\u2019s on a DVD or Blu-ray isn\u2019t being cloned in the MP4\u2019s (??). Nor are the normal advertising and warnings being transferred, which is great. \ud83d\udc4d\ud83d\ude09\ud83d\udc4c Other than those issues, I am getting what seems to be the same quality as on the original DVDs and Blu-rays.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019re new to this like I am, then try some additional test with your settings. For <b>Blu-ray to Digital<\/b> I used <a href=\"https:\/\/www.easefab.com\/howto\/convert-blu-ray-to-digital.html#losslesscopy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><b>Method 1<\/b><\/a> from the EaseFab LosslessCopy \u2018<a href=\"https:\/\/www.easefab.com\/resource.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><i><b>How-To<\/b><\/i><\/a>\u2019 section.<\/p>\n<p>For <b>DVD to Digital<\/b> I didn\u2019t care for the EaseFab LosslessCopy method, and lost the original link of another method I had used. I did change to keep \u201cOriginal\u201d size in both the DVD &amp; Blu-ray settings. For prep, I created a \u201cVIDEO\u201d folder to place the first EaseFab LosslessCopy TV series MP4s into:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-5248 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/karmismusingstech.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/31-Create-Video-Folder.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"544\" height=\"484\" srcset=\"https:\/\/karmismusingstech.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/31-Create-Video-Folder.jpg 544w, https:\/\/karmismusingstech.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/31-Create-Video-Folder-500x445.jpg 500w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 544px) 100vw, 544px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Then took those MP4s episodes and placed them onto the desktop, and opened HandBrake:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-5249 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/karmismusingstech.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/32-Move-to-Desktop-open-HandBrake.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"634\" srcset=\"https:\/\/karmismusingstech.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/32-Move-to-Desktop-open-HandBrake.jpg 800w, https:\/\/karmismusingstech.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/32-Move-to-Desktop-open-HandBrake-500x396.jpg 500w, https:\/\/karmismusingstech.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/32-Move-to-Desktop-open-HandBrake-768x609.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Then dragged one episode at a time into Source Selection box.<\/p>\n<p>Oh, I had HandBrake set up like this:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-5251 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/karmismusingstech.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/33-Check-Web-Optimized.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"800\" height=\"521\" srcset=\"https:\/\/karmismusingstech.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/33-Check-Web-Optimized.jpg 800w, https:\/\/karmismusingstech.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/33-Check-Web-Optimized-500x326.jpg 500w, https:\/\/karmismusingstech.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/33-Check-Web-Optimized-768x500.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 Only change I made was to check the \u201cWeb Optimized\u201d box, and really don\u2019t remember why\u2014possibly the MP4 was clearer (??). The other settings and \u201cSave As\u201d were defaults. As you can see from that pic, the resized MP4 episodes are placed in the Users Videos folders:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-5252 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/karmismusingstech.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/34-Resized-discs-are-in-User-Videos-folder.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"673\" height=\"463\" srcset=\"https:\/\/karmismusingstech.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/34-Resized-discs-are-in-User-Videos-folder.jpg 673w, https:\/\/karmismusingstech.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/34-Resized-discs-are-in-User-Videos-folder-500x344.jpg 500w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 673px) 100vw, 673px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>\u2022 I had created a Dark Winds folder inside the Videos folders, and then moved the resized MP4 episodes into that folder. S1 &amp; S2 of Dark Winds had a total of 12 episodes.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-5253 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/karmismusingstech.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/35-All-discs-now-in-Dark-Winds-folder-resized-and-ready-to-be-moved-to-permanent-DISC.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"682\" height=\"618\" srcset=\"https:\/\/karmismusingstech.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/35-All-discs-now-in-Dark-Winds-folder-resized-and-ready-to-be-moved-to-permanent-DISC.jpg 682w, https:\/\/karmismusingstech.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/05\/35-All-discs-now-in-Dark-Winds-folder-resized-and-ready-to-be-moved-to-permanent-DISC-500x453.jpg 500w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 682px) 100vw, 682px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>At this point, I moved the finished Dark Winds TV series into the new <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newegg.com\/seagate-firecuda-st4000dx005-4tb\/p\/N82E16822185035?Item=N82E16822185035\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><b>Seagate FireCuda ST4000DX005 4TB<\/b><\/a> HDD, and emptied the Trash folder of main SSD\u2014the original size of each Dark Winds title was over 5GBs, so 12 times 5GBs is over 60GBs in the Trash folder.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Conclusion\"><\/span>Conclusion<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Am happy with the results so far \u2013 even though it involves a lot of work and time. I may slow down my efforts now, and just digitized the movies &amp; TV series as I watch them. <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Blue_Bloods_(TV_series)\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><b>Blue Bloods<\/b><\/a> has 6-disks for season 1, and 5-6 for other seasons, and I have 13-seasons.<\/p>\n<p>Will probably do the TV series first, since I mostly watch those.
