Have mainly just upgraded all <a href=\"https:\/\/karmismusingstech.com\/index.php\/technology\/my-computers\/\"><i><b>my computers<\/b><\/i><\/a> to Windows 11 Pro from Windows 10 Pro, <i>since it was so easy \u2018n reliable to do<\/i>, but have also done some tests on doing a clean install of Windows 11. Spotted the \u201cThis PC\u201d problem right away when doing the clean installs.<\/p>\n<p>The upgrade method allows the \u201cThis PC\u201d icon to stay and\/or be added to the Taskbar, but the clean install method doesn\u2019t offer the \u201cPin to taskbar\u201d option. The Taskbar is <u>right there<\/u>, on the <a href=\"https:\/\/screenrant.com\/windows-11-move-taskbar-left-how-tutorial\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><b>Left<\/b><\/a> for me. Everything wid Windows 10 &amp; 11 is quick &#8216;n easy, highly customizable, reliable &#8216;n stable, secure, etc. like the Desktop\/Laptop OS on one&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Personal_computer\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><b>Personal Computer<\/b><\/a> should be:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>A personal computer (PC) is a multi-purpose computer whose size, capabilities, and price make it feasible for individual use. Personal computers are intended to be operated directly by an <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/End_user\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><b>end user<\/b><\/a>, rather than by a computer expert or <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Technician\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><b>technician<\/b><\/a>.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>When <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Pzl1B7nB9Kc\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><b>Linus Torvalds<\/b><\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Pzl1B7nB9Kc\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> explain<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Pzl1B7nB9Kc\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">s<\/a> why the so-called Linux \u201cDesktop\u201d OS isn&#8217;t for &#8220;nontechnical people,&#8221; he is speaking of the actual Personal Computer&#8217;s &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/End_user\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">end user<\/a>.&#8221;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u2018For the last 20 years, I kept hearing how Linux on the Desktop would go mainstream in \u201cfive years.\u201d \u201cOne of the problems Desktop\u201d Linux has is it\u2019s not made for \u201cnormal people, and by normal people I mean, obviously nontechnical people\u2026\u201d\u2018<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/End_user\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><b>End Users<\/b><\/a> ain&#8217;t gonna do a lot of <i>tinkering<\/i> wid their <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Personal_computer\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><b>Personal Computer<\/b><\/a> or its OS, i.e. they just want it to work, be easy to learn, and be compatible wid their old scanner &#8216;n new printer &#8216;n the newly ordered photo printer that arrives tomorrow. Windows 10 has over 1.3 Billion users, so Personal Computer <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/End_user\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><b>end user<\/b><\/a>&#8216;s are obviously very happy wid Microsoft.<\/p>\n<h3><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Create_%E2%80%98n_Pin_%E2%80%9CThis_PC%E2%80%9D_to_the_Windows_11_Taskbar\"><\/span>Create &#8216;n Pin &#8220;This PC&#8221; to the Windows 11 Taskbar<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><em>As mentioned earlier<\/em>, I hadn&#8217;t spent any time doing a search on <i><u>how-to<\/u><\/i> pin &#8220;This PC&#8221; to the taskbar, since I really liked the upgrade method and it didn&#8217;t have that issue; <em>however<\/em>, when I started clean install tests of Windows 11 Pro on a test computer or two, that is when I discovered the &#8220;This PC&#8221; &amp; taskbar issue. The Windows 11 This PC taskbar shortcut saves time, so time for some searching. \ud83d\ude15<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><i>Searches can be a pain!<\/i><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Entries like This PC or &#8220;This PC&#8221; returned loads of useless info on everything but &#8220;This PC.&#8221; Many of the returned search results, <i>that were actually about<\/i> &#8220;This PC,&#8221; were on how to move it to the desktop <i>and\/or<\/i> the Start menu!?! It&#8217;s as if these writer&#8217;s had never heard of the Windows 11 Taskbar&#8230;<i>well<\/i>, they all had heard of the Taskbar &#8216;n most had written on how to move it from the Center to the Left, but none had mentioned pinning the &#8220;This PC&#8221; icon to it.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><i>Searches can be a pain!<\/i><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Probably took an hour or maybe two before I got the right search combo for Google to return what I was looking for. I was beginning to think I may have been the only Windows 10 user, out of over 1.3 Billion Worldwide users, who pinned &#8220;This PC&#8221; icon to the Taskbar!? \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n<p>Then, all of a sudden, &#8216;<i>Thar<\/i> it Were! <i><u>However<\/u><\/i>, a year after finding that YouTube video link I now get <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=o8UtFTrtT-E\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><b>this<\/b><\/a>:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-338 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/karmismusingstech.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/video-unavailable-500x308.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"308\" srcset=\"https:\/\/karmismusingstech.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/video-unavailable-500x308.jpg 500w, https:\/\/karmismusingstech.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/video-unavailable.jpg 520w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The search had never even had a close result until I came across that Blessed Majome&#8217;s YouTube (<i>now terminated<\/i>) &#8211;
