I\u2019ve been trying to write this post for years\u2014kept thinking it would be a really <\/i>really<\/b><\/u><\/i> long one, which might have been the reason I never started it or even came up with a title until today. \ud83e\udd14\ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s how I ‘Stumbled<\/em>‘ across it<\/h2>\n

<\/p>\n

Turns out \u2018Short & Simple<\/i>\u2019 seems to always work for me. Of course, I spent decades partaking of all the delightful \u2018Sweet & Sour<\/i>\u2019 fruits first.<\/p>\n

When I \u2018got close<\/i>\u2019 things seemed to move faster tho, which was helpful. \u2018Close<\/i>\u2019 wasn\u2019t close enough tho, so I left the \u2018Forest of Selves<\/i>\u2019 and went to the \u2018Top of a Mountain<\/i>\u2019 alone.<\/p>\n

When alone, this sorta fell into my lap:<\/p>\n

\u2018Like two golden birds perched on the selfsame tree,<\/em><\/p>\n

intimate friends, the ego and the Self dwell in the same body.<\/em><\/p>\n

The former eats the sweet and sour fruits of the tree of life,<\/em><\/p>\n

while the latter looks on in detachment<\/em>\u2019. The Mundaka Upanishad<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
