I plan Upgrades for this Build in the future and went for a Power Supply w\/ a 10 Year Warranty, fully modular, Japanese Capacitors, efficient, and <b>QUIET<\/b> \u2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/eu.evga.com\/products\/product.aspx?pn=220-G6-1000-X2\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><b>EVGA SuperNOVA 1000 G6<\/b><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B0997XYF3R\/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&amp;psc=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color: #bf0041;\"><b>EVGA SuperNOVA 1000 G6<\/b><\/span><\/a><span style=\"color: #bf0041;\"> $189.99 (<\/span><span style=\"color: #bf0041;\"><i>$13.30 Tax = $203.29<\/i><\/span><span style=\"color: #bf0041;\">)<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #bf0041;\"><b>Total so far \u2014 $1387.59<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p>$189.99 is about three-times what I normally try to pay for a power supply, and I now have three unused ones in the shed&#8230;well, one is used on my <a href=\"https:\/\/linuxnewbiesince1996.wordpress.com\/2019\/11\/16\/build-a-ryzen-test-computer-with-scrap-n-a-150-budget-part-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><i><b>Test Bench<\/b><\/i><\/a>, but it stays in the shed until needed, and I don&#8217;t need it w\/ the <a href=\"https:\/\/linuxnewbiesince1996.wordpress.com\/2019\/12\/25\/apevia-x-qpack3-nw-bk-is-innovation-in-a-cube\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><i><b>Apevia X-Qpack3-NW-BK<\/b><\/i><\/a> case since it is already easy to work in.<\/p>\n<p>The Apevia case has an opening under MoBo&#8217;s CPU for adding coolers &#8216;n such \u2013 and the power supply is located out-of-the-way under the MoBo. Great case, but no longer available, <i><u>for some reason<\/u><\/i>.<\/p>\n<p>Next, I wanted some faster ports on my front panel, and at least one USB Type-C port that didn&#8217;t require use of another 20-pin USB 3.2 Gen 1 header on MoBo &#8216;n the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/gp\/product\/B07T5QQZG4\/ref=ppx_od_dt_b_asin_title_s00?ie=UTF8&amp;psc=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><b>EZDIY-FAB<\/b><\/a> would do:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-2642 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/karmismusingstech.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/5.25-Hub-type-C-500x381.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"381\" srcset=\"https:\/\/karmismusingstech.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/5.25-Hub-type-C-500x381.jpg 500w, https:\/\/karmismusingstech.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/5.25-Hub-type-C.jpg 680w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>EZDIY-FAB uses the USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-C\u00ae Front Panel connector on the new MoBo, another reason I needed to Build a new system. \ud83d\udc4f\ud83d\ude42\ud83d\udc4c<\/p>\n<p>At this point, <i>using new components &#8216;n older parts<\/i>, this Build was ready for an OS, so I headed over to <a href=\"https:\/\/m.vip-urcdkey.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">VIP-URcdkey<\/a> &#8216;n they directed me to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.welcomevips.com\/sale\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">WelcomeVIPS<\/a> for a special discounted price \u2013 purchased a CD-Key for Win11 Pro at $19.89. Windows 10 Pro was less \u2013 $10 w\/ discount &#8216;n code, but I didn&#8217;t feel like doing another Upgrade w\/ this build.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #bf0041;\"><b>Total \u2014 $1452.41<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Conclusion\"><\/span>Conclusion<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>$1452.41 isn&#8217;t bad for a new re-Build to one case &#8216;n a big Upgrade to a main Linux Testing computer.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;<a href=\"https:\/\/linuxnewbiesince1996.wordpress.com\/buy-low-or-byoc-build-your-own-computer-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><i><b>Frank<\/b><\/i><\/a>&#8216; is in a tight <a href=\"https:\/\/www.coolermaster.com\/catalog\/cases\/mini-itx\/elite130\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><b>Cooler Master Elite 130<\/b><\/a> case so the 3-slot <a href=\"https:\/\/www.evga.com\/products\/Specs\/GPU.aspx?pn=576a4f50-6c80-46ec-8eef-b4fd168a194c\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">EVGA GeForce GTX 1660<\/a> won&#8217;t fit, and is probably headed to the shed, unless I switch wid &#8216;<i>Rose<\/i>&#8216; \u2013 probably not since I&#8217;d need to switch from 500 watt power supply to the 550 watt just pulled from the Apevia case, <em>to be safe<\/em>. \ud83d\ude1d Nice GPU, so I may make the switch at some point. \ud83e\udd14<\/p>\n<p>MoBo has a Thunderbolt\u2122 (USB4\u00ae) header that I may use in the future \u2014 for their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.asus.com\/us\/motherboards-components\/motherboards\/accessories\/thunderboltex-4\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><b>ThunderboltEX 4<\/b><\/a> \u2013 tho I may never need such, i.e., there are some fast ports on the rear also.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-2644 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/karmismusingstech.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/ThunderBolt-4.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"845\" height=\"387\" srcset=\"https:\/\/karmismusingstech.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/ThunderBolt-4.jpg 845w, https:\/\/karmismusingstech.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/ThunderBolt-4-500x229.jpg 500w, https:\/\/karmismusingstech.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/ThunderBolt-4-768x352.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 845px) 100vw, 845px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Have 32 GBs of Ram already, but may move that to &#8216;<a href=\"https:\/\/linuxnewbiesince1996.wordpress.com\/buy-low-or-byoc-build-your-own-computer-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><i><b>Rose<\/b><\/i><\/a>&#8216; later this year &#8216;n upgrade the RAM in the new &#8216;<i>Apevia<\/i>&#8216; Build.<\/p>\n<p>Looks like a Part 4 final might be needed, after the &#8216;<i>new<\/i>&#8216; Build&#8230;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Part 1 (5\/29\/23) was about &#8216;Planning&#8216; a new Intel\u00ae Core\u2122 i9-13900K Build whilst reusing an Apevia case, its 32 GB RAM, its 500 GB SAMSUNG 970 EVO M.2 PCIe NVMe (for OS), a Adata XPG SX6000 Pro M.2 PCIe NVMe (for data), and a Kingwin KF-251-BK Dual-Bay Hot Swap Rack.
